I'll never be short of stamps again

I have had Adobe Photoshop on my PC for as long as I can remember and all I have ever really done with it is use it for cropping photographs. Imagine my delight when I came across a couple of online tutorials for making digi stamps, so I had to have a play. After many failed attempts I did begin to get a few really good results. The first stamp is taken from a photograph of my Great Grandmother and the second is from a photo of my daughter.
EDIT:- Barbara, the best tutorial I found was by Gillian Allen on Art-e-zine. I'm not sure if this tutorial would work on any other programme, but hey it's worth a try.

On a roll

with the butterflies and inks today, lol.

I bought this frame from a very cheap shop a few years back, with the good intentions of doing something fab with it. It may of taken me two years to do it but I am pretty pleased with the results.

Butterflies II

After posting my piece for this weeks Wednesday Stamper my piece sort of evolved, so here is the updated version

Butterflies

I was so happy when I saw the theme for this weeks Wednesday Stamper, I love butterflies so I knew I had to have a go. This piece is quite small, about 2'x3'. I used a butterfly stamp from Crafty Individuals and the background is alcohol inks. I also used some Basic Grey rub-ons.
Thanks for taking time out to look.

OMG she's done something

Well a week has gone by and I haven't posted anything, let alone made anything, yes Audrey I was still having one of those days, in fact one of those weeks. I had all these great plans for the last week, I had time off work so time to play, and then my inspiration decided it was taking time off too. I was feeling pretty low about it really until yesterday when I took the plunge and got stuck into an RAK I wanted to send. I knew I wanted to make an ATC and holder, as the person it is for is ATC mad, so here is the result. I used Non sequitur stamps Across the Miles plate.

Do you ever have one of those days..........

when no matter what you try to create just doesn't work? Well today has been one of those days for me. I had a great idea and couldn't wait to get started but no matter what I tried I couldn't get the look I was after so, many spoilt pieces of card and paper later, I gave up. I haven't given up on the idea totally just sidelined it for a day or so while I think about achieving the look I want. Just so I didn't feel like a complete failure I got stuck into some good old basic stamping and ended up doing two pieces. The first is a mini card, using Young Love plate 3 from the Urban Snapshots range from Paperartsy This second Piece is an ATC. I used another Paperartsy sheet of stamps but this time At Home plate 5. Do you get the impression I kinda like Paperartsy stamps, lol.

Valentine Wednesday Stamper

It is still snowing here so I have tucked myself away in the warm and had a play with my inks and stamps. Here is my contribution for this weeks Wednesday Stamper.

Winter Wonderland

Well the predicted snow arrived this morning, not just a little sprinkling but a few inches, more snow than I've seen for several years. Everywhere just looked so clean and peaceful covered in it's white duvet.

I had to take my camera with me when I went to work as I walk through a lovely park to get there. I keep saying I want to get some photos of the park either covered in snow or a good frost as the big old trees look so beautiful.

I'm quite pleased how these pictures came out considering we had a pretty good fog as well as the snowfall.

Think pink

Hey I've managed to post on my Blog for three days running, now believe me that is very good going. I am enjoying having a Blog and I have found myself using it as an excuse to take time out to create.

I've managed to make a small tag collage for this weeks 'Think pink' theme on Wednesday Stamper. The background is made with chalk inks on glossy card. The angels stamp is from PaperArtsy.

Be Happy ATC

Well day two of having a blog and I have made an ATC using some Paperartsy stamps . I have never used these stamps despite wanting them so badly so I thought I'd give them a go and see what I came up with. The background is alcohol inks overstamped in grey and silver inks. The whole ATC is covered in acetate and that was stamped with the dots.

Lets kick things off

This is a hanging card I made for a friends birthday, using acohol inks, acetate and glitter.

I have found myself making quite a few of these hanging creations recently.

Post no.1........

lets see how I do.

I love many aspects of paper crafting but have found myself spending less and less time doing what I love. I am hoping that having a blog will push me to start getting my fingers dirty on a far more regular basis.
