All on the move

I have several friends who have either just moved house or are moving in the next few weeks. I wanted to make them all a little something and new home cards really were not working for me so I went with these little hangings. I've really enjoyed making these, and I'm glad to say I still have another two to make.

This first one has an alcohol inked background with over stamping and embossing. The main image is part of a stamp from good old Crafty Individuals, stamped in purple and highlighted in white souffle pen.

This hanging I've made for a friend who has moved to the coast (lucky thing, not jealous honest :o) ) I've used a large slide mount as the frame and covered it in a piece of worked paper, scrunched, inked and embossed, I think it kind of looks like sea spray. The stamp I've used is from a very old set of Stick and Stamp stamps I bought many years back and only have used a couple of times.

Another with alcohol inks as the background, also with a layer of overstamping in red, copper and strlight black. The butterflies are from another of Crafty Individuals image books.

Another triangle......

but a mini one this time, about 2'x3' in size.

The background is a scrap of alcohol inked glossy card that was left over from another project. The image is taken from the Crafty Individuals people and places themed image book. The two hummingbirds are stickers that were left over from one of the very first crafting sets I bought many years ago, I kept going to throw them away but couldn't bring myself to do it as I liked them so much, glad I didn't now.

You make my day

I've been tagged three times by three lovely people Emma , Joanne and Carrie for this award. The rules are…..Give the award to up to 10 people whose blogs bring you happiness and inspiration and make you feel so happy about blogland! Let them know by posting a comment on their blog so that they can pass it on. Beware! You may get the award several times! So, to narrow it down to ten….

only 10, now that is hard, but here goes

Tootie -this fab blog has wonderful whimsical eye candy, something new almost every time I visit.

Audrey Hernandez- I think Audrey's blog was the first blog I ever visited, I found it inspirational then and still do today.

Jo Capper-Sandon - I've known Jo for several years now and I'm happy to say I class her as a good friend, oh and she does some quite nice stuff too ;o)

Nellie Van Leeuwen- what can I say but wow, Nellies blog really is a feast for the eyes.

Joanne Wardle - I'm repaying the favour Joanne, this girl is like gold, she is always ready to help people and is pretty good at crafting too ;o)

Caroline Moore - Carrie is always adding wonderful eye candy to her blog.

Nancy Dooren - Nancy has some fantastic work on her blog and she has some wonderful images on there to share.

Penny and Chris - both these ladies make truly stunning greeting cards, well worth checking out their blogs.

U-handblog - not the usual type of blog I visit but I love this place, I am a seamstress by trade and although I haven't sewn for a fair few years this blog does make me want to get the old machine out again.

Triangles

I have been very lazy in creating art since Christmas so to kick start myself I signed up for a triangle swap.

I've used lots of stamps from many companies- Crafty Individuals to name but one.
