a couple of things

I had the urge to make something yesterday so I got stuck in to the next set of tiles for our collaborative project and this time it was Pennys turn, her colour choice was hot colours/orange with blue accents, so I hope she likes these.

The background is acrylic paints and the stamp is from ISC.

After I'd finished Pennys tiles I wanted to make something different so had a look around the challenge blogs. The Challenge on Forever Friends was to use brads or eyelets and I have loads of these that I got way back when I first started card making as I just thought they were the coolest thing ever lol. I ended up using some eyelets that came with my Cropadile though as the others I had just were too small to get the effect I wanted.

love the effect created with the butterflies Deb. the eyelets really accent the curve of the paper. both very different and both great!

Fab tiles, Deb. Love the blue against the orange. I have zillions of brads and eyelets too! Maybe I should take up the challenge. lol

What contrasting work!

Love your fine art approach of the first, which I see as your 'real' style.

The eyelets really make the second piece. Love that idea.

I remember the days of trying to hammer eyelets in quietly whilst the kids slept in the evenings lol. In the 'old days' of making clothes from panels of pvc and leather I'd spend many an evening hammering in eyelets on the pavement outside the old town house we lived in in the middle of Brighton as we had floor boards which echoed lol

You've brought back a lot of memories Deb.

Stunning tiles Deb, that butterfly is brilliant.
Your use of eyelets is very effective in accenting the curve on your FF card, it looks gorgeous.
