8x8 background

I was meant to come home from work and do some housework today but I decided that was boring so I've had another play with backgrounds.

This is done with acrylics again, a couple of different reds and a touch of black, a few sprays of glimmer mists, and some oil pastel highlights. The flowers, a very old foam stamp I'd forgotten I even had, are stamped in a very loose acrylic water paint mix and the swirls are hand painted.

I think this piece will remain as an 8x8 sheet as I have plans for it.

Much more fun than housework Deb and so very beautiful - I love anything red but love the different shades that are highlighted and the stamped designs really finish it off. A well spent afternoon I think.

I love the dreamy look here - whenever I try to do 'loose' hand painting it looks as if I've just been cleaning my brush!

Gorgeous.
