I can see clearly now...

is the dare on DCM this week:-

Kel says- Okay, this week I would like you to use some acetate, vellum, plasma or anything else remotely 'see-through' on your card. That's it!





This is my first attempt at taking part in one of these challenges, and I don't think it will be my last. I have used acetate on my card. To get the effect 'paint' the section of acetate you want clear with Vaseline and then paint over the top with acrylic paint. Leave to dry and then wipe away the paint and vaseline so you have a clear section.

I have to admit though that from the picture I cant get an Idea of the effect you are describing.. and my computer wont enlarge it.. I bet its really cool in real life and I am stamping my feet cos I want to see lol..

Oh I like this, love the picture you've used, it's such a strong image that works brilliantly with the mono colours. That technique with the vaseline and paint sounds worth exploring.

Gorgeous card Deb! Love the red and I love to do the vaseline technique, but it is one of those that I forget how much I like it until I see it again. Great art!
