moos

The theme on MAMOT this week is the beach and sea.

I have had these lovely oriental ladies in their bathing cossis from INKA for some time so thought this was as good a time as any to use them.

whats black and white and gold all over.......

the challenges on this weeks TMTA and MAMOT

Black and white is a favourite of mine but I feel it can bit a bit harsh at times so I wanted to see if I could make a soft piece using the colours. I think I've managed to with this ATC, although the sprinkling of embossing powder shows up a bit more in the photo than it does in real life, so I'm not 100% happy with it.

I love working with touches of gold, but wanted to use it as the main colour for this moo card given that gold is the theme this week. I wanted to moo to have a meaning behind it, rather than just make a random gold piece, so I went with passing time and the golden years of life.

stamps and ribbons

I came across this challenge site from a link on Joannes blog. Their challeng this week is to use at least one stamp and ribbon on a piece of work. I made this card for a sketch challenge on a forum I'm a member of. It all started off with a moo card I had made and evolved into something quite a bit larger.
All stamps are from Crafty Individuals apart from the quote, which I'm not sure where i got that from.

My favourite colour(s)

The theme on this weeks make Make a Moo or Two site is 'favourite colour'

I love so many colours and so to make the choice easier I narrowed it down to the new alcohol inks that arrived this morning.

This one I used denim and stonewashed inks and a little bit of silver Krylon pen added. The stamp is by Non-sequitar.
This moo I used latte and butterscotch on the back of a piece of acetate that had the seed head stamped on it in Stazon. I layered this on top of a piece of card that I stamped with the diamond background, both stamps by Crafty Individuals.

Friendship.......

is this weeks theme on Make a Moo or Two

This moo was inspired by Joanne, she made hers this way round and I liked how it looked so I thought why not, and the picture I've used in this moo is part of a picture from Nancy Dooren

Moo cards

I have avoided Moo cards for ages as the size scared me, it sounded too much like inchies, which I cannot do for the life of me, but when my friend Nellie started the new challenge blog Make a Moo or Two I wanted to have a go. The theme for the first challenge on MAMOT is Romance.
The couple images are downloaded from Lisa Vollraths Go Make Something site. The background is one of my own that I played around with in a photo editing package.
I qite enjoyed making these and they are so much easier than inchies so will be making this a regular challenge, thanks Nellie :o).
